Ministry Overview
Our aim is to bring about positive changes to uplift these young people, and the community as a whole. In addition to our school programs; we also provide free counselling to anyone who needs it, provide Youth and Training Camps, and much more.
One of our burning desires is to take the ‘Life-Skills’ Education Program to the schools in the Rosedale area in the form of a program known as the “Jika Generation”. This material is supplied by SU (Scripture Union), at only R30 per manual per child, and is endorsed by the South African Dept. of Health.
It includes 27 modules that cover topics ranging from Self- Esteem through to Drugs, Gangsterism, Goal-Setting and HIV and Aids; all very practically laid out in an individual manual for each teenager.
The course is constructed in such a way that trained leaders present and facilitate it.
More schools are reaching out to us but we are extremely low on resources.
We receive no compensation and our services are free of charge. We are totally dependent on the community for our income and therefore have no fixed salary.
We are in desperate need of equipment and finances to maintain our daily and monthly expenses.
In order to present Life-Skill programs we need funding to purchase books for each student and at R30 per Child, many schools cannot afford to do so.
Our immediate needs include a Projector, Laptop, Petrol, Upgrade on our Sound System, Finance to pay our volunteers and to buy prizes and stationary for our Life-Skill projects.
Future needs will include a Mini-Van or similar vehicle to transport kids to camps and youth events.

We want to thank all of our sponsors as we would not have been able to reach out to the thousands of youth without your involvement. We are thankful to the School Teachers and Headmasters for giving us the opportunity to be able to work with them and help them build up our community for the past almost 10 years.
We are grateful for the experience and the journey we have walked thus far with them as ‘Ignite Ministries’, and even though it has not always been easy, it has been a blessing to see the fruit and the growth in our line of work.
For this reason we as ‘Ignite Ministries’ will always stand up for the community and help where we can in developing the next leaders.
This is why we are thankful and believe that we can change lives through what we do.

This ministry has truly been blessed of God and hundreds of lives have been touched and changed. We would like to see this ministry continue, even grow from strength to strength, but it will be impossible without YOUR active participation wherever you are in the world.
